Wonderful Christmas day 2017 Poems

Christmas day family poems (Mom&Dad)

Dear Mom and Dad
Of the favorite memories of our family,
Mom and Dad,
Christmas rekindles all the best we've ever had~
The wonderful traditions you taught us,
And we kept from year to year
Added to each Holiday
To make it's meaning clear.
Your warmth, smiles and laughter
Kept us eager to believe
In the magic and wonder
That was part of Christmas Eve,
And though Christmas
Have come and gone,
It seems that wishes did come true,
In the lasting love our family shares
Because of the caring by both of you. christmas day poems

Happy Christmas, Mum (Mom) and Dad
With Love! christmas day poems for mom

Merry Christmas Mom!
A mother's heart is a special place
Where children have a home
That waits for them throughout the years
No matter where they roam --
A home that's filled with happiness,
Where peace and love abide,
A home it's good to come to
With doors that open wide.
A mother's hear is a tender place,
For mothers truly care,
And children know they're free to come
To leave their troubles there.
It's a mother's way
to understand
The things that go unsaid,
The loving words we'd like to say,
But just think about instead,
So, Mother, hope you'll know this wish
On Christmas Day for you
Is from the heart with lots of love
And deep affection, too

A very Merry Christmas, Mum  short christmas day poems

Merry Christmas
Now that it's Christmas
I really have to say
Thank you Mom for all you do
In your quiet efficient way
I don't know how I'd cope
Without you by my side
I know that life would be
A very bumpy ride
As the seasons come and go
And Christmas time arrives
It takes the festive season
To make me realize
I do not take the time to say
I appreciate all you do
So a very Merry Christmas, Mom
And lots of love to you!christmas day love poems

Christmas(X mas) day 2017 Prayer Poem

The Nativity
Among the oxen [like an ox I'm slow]I see a glory in the stable growWhich, with the ox's dullness might at lengthGive me an ox's strength.
Among the asses [stubborn I as they]I see my Savior where I looked for hay;So may my beast like folly learn at leastThe patience of a beast.
Among the sheep [I like a sheep have strayed]I watch the manger where my Lord is laid;Oh that my baaing nature would win thenceSome woolly innocence! christian christmas day poems

Christmas  Heaven

I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below with tiny lights like heaven's stars reflecting on the snow.

The sight is so spectacular please wipe away that tear
for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear but the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.

I have no words to tell you of the joy their voices bring for it is beyond description to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart for I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I can't tell you of the splendor or the peace here in this place Can you just imagine Christmas with our Savior face to face?

I
'll ask him to lift your spirit as I tell you of your love so then pray for one another as you lift your eyes above.

Please let your hearts be joyful and let your spirit sing
modern day christmas poems

[C. S. Lewis]
CAN THIS BE CHRISTMAS?

What's all this hectic rush and worry?
Where go these crowds who run and scurry?
Why all the lights - the Christmas trees?
The jolly "fat man," tell me please!

Why, don't you know?  This is the day
For parties and for fun and play;
Why this is Christmas!

So this is Christmas, did you say?
But where is Christ this Christmas Day?
Has He been lost among the throng?
His voice drowned out by empty song?

No, He's not here - you'll find Him where
Some humble soul now kneels in prayer,
Who knows the Christ of Christmas.

But see the many aimless thousands
Who gather on this Christmas Day,
Whose hearts have never yet been opened,
Or said to Him, "Come in to stay."

In countless homes the candles burning,
In countless hearts expectant yearning
For gifts and presents, food and fun,
And laughter till the day is done.

But not a tear of grief or sorrow
For Him so poor He had to borrow
A crib, a colt, a boat, a bed
Where He could lay His weary head.

I'm tied of all this empty celebration,
Of feasting, drinking, recreation;
I'll go instead to Calvary.

And there I'll kneel with those who know
The meaning of that manger low,
And find the Christ - this Christmas.

I leap by faith across the years
To that great day when He appears
The second time, to rule and reign,
To end all sorrow, death, and pain.

In endless bliss we then shall dwell
With Him who saved our souls from hell.
And worship Christ - not Christmas!
[M. R. DeHaan, M. D. Founder, Radio Bible Class]
christmas day acrostic poem

Unto us?
Lord, unto whom?
The fair-skinned, favored,
genteel few?
Just to them?
Or unto Jew,
Oriental, Negro,
Sioux?
Unto these?
Yes, unto all
the human family,
great and small.
Christ Child,
with your arms stretched wide,
forgive our prejudiced,
and pride.
[Helen Earle Simcox]'
poems about christmas day

True God of true God;
Light of light eternal:
Lo! He abhors not the Virgin's womb.
 Son of the Father,
Begotten, not created:
O come, let us adore Him,
Christ the Lord.
Anonymous, 17th or 18th Century

The First Gift of Christmas
The first Christmas gift ever given
Wasn't bought in a mart or a shop,
And it wasn't encased in gay wrappings
With a bright ribbon bow on the top.
The first Gift of Christmas was given
In a manger lowly and bare,
And a blanket was the lone wrapping
Of this gift so priceless and fair.
God gave the First Gift of Christmas,
A most Holy and Wonderful One,
When He looked down in mercy and goodness
And gave us the Gift of His Son!
[John Gilbert]

Christmas

Christmas is a time for giving,
A time for love and joyous living,

For glistening splendor and lots of laughter,
Making happy memories forever after.

But with all the glitter, fun and mirth,
Let's not forget the Christ Child's birth.

And the peace that was meant to be.
Dear Lord, let it begin with me,

And may it spread throughout the earth
In celebration of our Savior's birth.
[Anna Beth Minyard]

Poinsettia

I have vowed to give you splendor
Wonder and acclaim,
But my words have lacked the luster
Fitting such a name.

I have dreamed again the story
How the Christ was born,
How you first burst into blossom
On the coming morn.

Like the magi, I am humbled
By a lighted face,
And I kneel in adoration
Muted by your grace.
